What Are Multi-Die Cold Form Fasteners?
Unlike single-die cold heading, which is limited to simple head shapes and basic configurations, multi-die cold forming uses multiple forming stations to progressively shape a fastener. Each die performs a different operation until the finished fastener is achieved.
This process enables us to produce:
- Complex geometries
- Multi-diameter shanks and undercuts
- Hollow, flanged, or stepped features
- Special drive recesses and slots
